Emily Conrad

writing to foster faith that flourishes, even if...

I write contemporary women's fiction inspired by Biblical accounts.

My debut novel, Justice, is underway with Pelican Book Group.

The woman Jake Davidson loves is pregnant, and he had nothing to do with it. Brooklyn Merrill can’t bring herself to name the father as she wrestles with questions about what her pregnancy means and how it will affect her future with Jake. If Jake’s business competitor, Harold Keen, has anything to do with it, the baby will ruin them both.

I am seeking publication for this stand-alone novel.

The feeling of peace that accompanies Aaron Weller’s recurring dream convinces him that God is calling him and his wife to start a family and to become missionaries in Thailand. These radical changes would risk Shana’s dream career in photography just as her photos have begun to earn an income. Torn toward radically different futures, Aaron and Shana struggle to determine and follow God’s will before their marriage falls apart.

I am in the final stages of editing this manuscript.

Framed by his brothers, estranged from his father, and wrongly accused of harassment at his last job, Seth Jones has good reason to distrust people, his new coworker Talia Dempsey included. Talia's upbringing has left her searching for truth about life, death, and eternity. Drawn toward Seth to learn more about his faith, she soon finds herself falling for him. Their relationship edges toward romance, but when Seth's past shows up on his doorstep, everything changes. In order to salvage the life he's built for himself--his relationship with Talia included--Seth must find a way to forgive the family he'd tried to leave behind.
